Proposed Farmer’s Market
A recent Facebook poll showed that as a community you would be interested in having a farmer’s market in the village thinking forward for 2023 when the weather is nicer, please let us have your views on what produce you would like to see, how often the market should be held or if you have an interest in holding a stall. Community Consultation October 2022
On Tuesday 25th October 12pm onwards, we will be holding a community consultation at DCYP (Distington Club for Young People) this is focused on what the children of the village would like to see on the new proposed play area and also what they would like to see as a lasting legacy on the Legion land. This consultation is not just aimed a children we would love to hear from all of you on what you would like to see in the village. So please come along and help shape the future of Distington.
There will be snacks and refreshments provided on the day. If you can not attend but would like to have your say please complete the questionnaire’s below, and return to any board member, take to DCYP, the community centre or email katie.biglocal@gmail.com
Distington Big Local’s 12 month plan
Distington Big Local’s interim 12 month plan has now been approved by the Local Trust. The group would like to share with you the full business plan up to March 2023 on how Distington Big Local funds will be used within the community.
We hope you will take part in our consultations throughout the year around what you would like to see on the Play Park and later on the development of the Legion Land if you are interested in helping please get in touch. katie.biglocal@gmail.com
